
PETERSBURG BOROUGH SCHOOL DISTRICT INVITATION TO BID PETERSBURG CAMPUS SECURITY UPGRADES LCG Lantech, Inc., on behalf of Petersburg Borough School District (PBSD), will receive electronic bids for furnishing all labor, materials and transportation and performing all work for construction of Petersburg Campus Security Upgrades until 4:00 p.m., local time, on January 20, 2026. Bids will be publicly read aloud via video conference at 4:30pm. Bids received after the time stated above will not be considered. Bids may not be withdrawn within 45 days of receipt. Project Scope: The Petersburg Campus Security Upgrades project entails district-wide electronic door control system installation, selective door replacement, and intercom installation. The Petersburg Borough School District (PBSD) comprises four buildings: Middle/High School, Elementary School, Vocational Education Building, and District Office. Door schedules are organized into priorities. Priority 0 encompasses non electronic controls improvement to doors. This could include door replacement, lock core replacement or door repair. Priority 1-4 are electronic door control installation and non-electronic zone support work sorted in order of importance to PBSD and to be installed with funds available. Bidders must structure their bid pricing according to the following priorities: Base Bid: 0. Selective door replacements, including fire doors. 1. Electronic door controls of identified exterior doors and key administrative areas. Installation of all headend electrical control panels, equipment, and 120V circuits required for a complete project to include priority levels 1 through 4. 1b. District wide intercom system with lockdown capabilities, push button handicap door openers for High School, and video intercom system for Middle School entrance, High School entrance and Elementary. Sequential Add Alternates (each priority to be a separate alternate): 2. Next level of electronic door controls includes key administrative areas and high frequency use areas. 3. Next level of electronic door controls (generally includes classrooms). 4. Next level of electronic door controls (generally includes maintenance and custodial areas). Bid documents are not available from the Architect or the Owner, but they may be obtained from most plan rooms and reprographic firms for a fee. Printed copies may be ordered from reprographic companies through the website or by contacting a reprographer directly. Downloaded files may be printed on the plan holder's equipment. Addenda to the project will be posted on the website. The bidder is responsible for periodically checking the site. The Contractor that is awarded the project will be responsible for printing all documents necessary for performing the work. Bonds: In addition to Bid Bond required with Bid, Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of contract amount will be required. Wage Rate Requirements: Wage rates paid shall comply with the current State of Alaska, Department of Labor & Workforce Development, Title 36. Public Contracts, AS 36.05 & AS 36.10, Wage & Hour Administration, Pamphlet No. 600. Notice that the project requires compliance with AS 36.15.010, use of local forest products wherever practicable. Formal Award: PBSD reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities or irregularities. The Owners Representative will issue a Notice of Intent to Award to responsive low-bidder in accordance with this ITB on January 21, 2026.
