Notice of Kickoff and Invitation to Help Shape Alaska's 2055 Long-Range Transportation Plan The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is launching the update of the Statewide Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP), which will guide Alaska's transportation policies and investments for the next 30 years, through 2055. The plan will define how we move people and goods by road, air, water, rail, bike, and foot to shape future priorities across the state. The plan is guided by federal and state planning requirements and sets a long-term vision for an accessible, resilient, and connected Alaska. Your input will help DOT&PF understand what matters most to Alaskans and ensure the LRTP reflects the needs of people and communities across the state. The LRTP Will: Define Alaska's 30-year transportation vision, goals, and priorities. Address all modes: highways, aviation, marine, rail, transit, biking, and walking. Support resilient infrastructure, economic development, and accessible mobility. Integrate performance measures and asset management strategies. Anyone who responds to this notice or submits a User Story will be added to the group and will receive updates, draft documents, and opportunities to comment throughout the process.
