NOTICE OF SALE OF VESSEL -- IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE DISTRICT OF ALASKA State of Alaska, Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development, Division of Investments, Plaintiff vs CALEB C, O.N. 948112, Defendant, Case No. 3:25-cv-00101-282--SLG. The U.S. District Court for the District of Alaska ordered on March 16, 2026, that the vessel CALEB C, O.N. 948112, its engines, machinery, appurtenances, etc., be sold by the U.S. Marshal for the District of Alaska, on an AS IS, WHERE IS basis at public auction to the highest bidder, free and clear of any liens and encumbrances, on April 1, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. at the front entrance's atrium of the U.S. Courthouse and Federal Building: 222 West Seventh Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska 99501, in accordance with Marshal's rules and regulations governing such sales. The sale will be conducted in accord with the Local Admiralty Rule (e)-14. The sale will be to the highest bidder. Bidders on the Vessel must be qualified to own vessels under United States law as provided by 46 U.S.C. §31329. Payment must be made in cash or certified or cashier's check. The Marshal is authorized to accept written sealed bids. Bids must be received at the Marshal's office located at 222 West 7th Avenue, Stop 28, Anchorage, Alaska 99573, by 4:00 p.m., local time, the day preceding the sale. The Marshal shall conduct the sale of the Vessel in such a manner that all such bidders are directed to the satisfaction of the Marshal prior to the commencement of the sale. Bids for the Vessel should be made separately. The successful bidder for the Vessel (whether by written or live bid) will be required to immediately pay the Marshal a deposit of no less than ten percent (10%) of the final price by cash or cashier's check payable to the "United States District Court" drawn on a federal or state chartered bank in good standing; the remaining balance shall be paid by cash or cashier's check payable to the "United States District Court" drawn on a federal or state chartered bank in good standing within seven days after the bid was accepted in accordance with Local Admiralty Rule (e)-14(d)(2). Proceeds of the Marshal's sale shall be deposited in the Registry of the Court, and will be held there pending further order of the Court. The party seeking the sale must lodge a proposed order with the Clerk of Court confirming the sale within seven (7) days after the date of the sale. If no written objection is filed with the Court challenging the sale within fourteen (14) days of such sale, the sale shall be confirmed pursuant to Local Admiralty Rule (e)-14(j).
