
NOTICE OF DECISION ON REQUEST FOR DETERMINATION OF WHETHER A CERTIFICATE OF NEED IS REQUIRED THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH In accordance with 7 AAC 07.031, the Department of Health (Department) has determined that a Certificate of Need (CON) is not required for the health care project or activity described below: Project/Activity: North Star Behavioral Health seeks to relocate and reassign existing licensed RPTC and acute care beds and programs among existing facilities. Applicant's Name: North Star Behavioral Health Project/Activity Service Area: Municipality of Anchorage Estimated Cost of Project/Activity: Not to exceed $1.5 million Summary of Decision: A CON is not required for the proposed project because it neither involves new construction, increased bed capacity, nor capital expenditures exceeding $1,500,000. Additionally, the project will not increase or alter the scope of services currently provided. A copy of this decision may be obtained by contacting the CON Program via email: doh.orr.con@alaska.gov A person who requested a determination under 7 AAC 07.031 may seek a reconsideration of the determination by submitting a written request for reconsideration to the Department. A request for reconsideration must be postmarked no later than July 17, 2026, and be made in conformance with 7 AAC 07.033.
