Lake and Peninsula Borough NOTICE OF GENERAL ELECTION To the qualified voters of the Lake and Peninsula Borough notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 a General Election of the Lake and Peninsula Borough will be held in accordance with Alaska Statutes 29.26.040, for the purpose of electing the following officials and voting on the following proposition: CANDIDATES: to elect officials to the following offices: Assembly Member, Seat C, District 1, 3 year term Assembly Member, Seat F, District 2, 3 year term School Board Member, Seat E, District 1, 3 year term School Board Member, Seat G, At Large, 3 year term VOTING BY MAIL There will not be any polling places for this election. All voters in all communities in the Lake and Peninsula Borough will be voting entirely by mail. Ballots will automatically be sent to each registered voter in the Borough no later than September 17, 2025. Instructions and a postage paid return envelope will come with the ballot. Voted ballots must be postmarked no later than October 7, 2025, and received by the Borough Clerk's office in King Salmon no later than 5 p.m. on November 7, 2025. If you have questions regarding your ballot, the Borough staff will be available between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. You may contact the Borough Clerk at 1-800-764-3421. If you believe you are qualified to vote in this election and do not receive a ballot by mail: Contact the Borough Clerk's office at 1-800-764-3421. If you will be away from home during this election and wish to have a ballot mailed to a place other that your regular mailing address: Contact the Borough Clerk's office at 1-800-764-3421 to let us know where you would like your ballot sent. VOTER QUALIFICATIONS "Voter" means a United States citizen who is qualified to vote in State and Borough elections and has been a resident of the municipality for 30 days immediately preceding the election and who is registered to vote in State elections and is not disqualified.
