Incinerator Replacement Project Bid/RFP Status Open - accepting bids and proposals Bid/RFP Due Date Tues, 2/24/2026 - 2:00 PM The Municipality of Skagway is accepting bids to construct the INCINERATOR REPLACEMENT. The WORK covered in the Contract Documents generally includes: Removal of the existing Incinerator system including chimney, and installation of a new Incinerator of similar size; removal and replacement of Incinerator support systems including conveyor, mechanical, ventilation, plumbing, electrical and fire protection for a refurbishment of the existing pre-engineered metal building; replacement of the existing wet sprinkler fire protection systems; site work including new retaining wall, regrading of the upper entry drive areas, and ash field site modifications and extension; general construction work including window and doors replacement, internal restroom addition, roof fall protection, exterior stairs, and other miscellaneous related WORK. Work includes refurbishment of an existing pre-engineered metal building, exterior and interior components, replacement of the Incinerator and conveyor assemblies, and miscellaneous related work at the Municipality of Skagway Incinerator facility, located at the 6-mile marker on the Klondike Highway. The Municipality of Skagway is accepting bids for the Ore Peninsula Limited Slope Removal. The WORK covered in the Contract Documents generally includes: removal and disposal of sediment from the slope adjacent to the Cruise Ship Float to prevent future grounding of the float. All work must conform to the requirements provided in the bid documents.
