
ENVIRONMENTAL NOTICE OF PROPOSED TELECOMMUNICATIONS TOWER The Alaska Wireless Network, LLC (AWN) would like to place on notice a proposal to deploy a temporary Cell-On-Wheels (COW) telecommunications structure at 60° 46' 30.63" North latitude and 148° 43' 34.39" West longitude located at the GCI Landing Station on O'Neill Creek Rd., Whittier, AK 99693. The structure will be 63-feet (123 feet above mean sea level) at its highest point and may be required by the FAA to be lit with Red Lights. The application for this proposed project can be viewed at www.fcc.gov/asr/applications by entering the ASR file# A1392665. Interested persons may raise environmental concerns about the proposed structure by filing a Request for Environmental Review (Request) with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) within 30 days after notice is posted on the FCC's website. The FCC strongly encourages interested parties to file a Request online. Instructions for making such filings can be found at www.fcc.gov/asr/environmentalrequest.
