Decision Memo for the Chugach National Forest Plan Amendment- Trinity Point Recreation Opportunity Spectrum The Chugach National Forest has signed a Decision Memo under categorical exclusion 36 CFR 220.6(e)(16) for the Chugach National Forest Land Management Plan Amendment-Recreation Opportunity Spectrum. Through the decision, the Chugach National Forest changes 35-acre Trinity Point parcel from a ROS class of semi-primitive motorized (characterized as predominately natural or natural appearing backcountry settings) to roaded natural (characterized by predominately natural-appearing settings, with moderate sights and sounds of human activities and development). The Trinity Point parcel was not consistent with Forest Service Handbook direction for semi-primitive motorized size and access characteristics. In addition, this amendment impacts a relatively small portion of NFS lands (35 acres). The Responsible Official for this project is: Jennifer K. Youngblood, Forest Supervisor. The Decision Memo is available online at: https://www.fs.usda.gov/r10/chugach/planning.
