CITY OF KOTZEBUE INVITATION TO BID – ITB #26-10 REFUSE DEPARTMENT HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSAL FOR CY26 The City of Kotzebue is looking for interested parties to package for shipment and prepare for disposal of drums mainly containing flammable liquids, glycol, gasoline, oil-based paint, urethanes and solvents, these items are considered Household Hazardous Waste. Items must be packaged, transported, and disposed of in accordance with the limits set by federal, state and local government regulations. This work will include the packaging of said hazardous waste into one or two 20-foot container to be transported by ship, railway or highway to an approved hazardous waste collection facility before the last shipping barge leaves Kotzebue in the summer of 2026. We want qualified bidders to supervise and assist, in separating, packaging and disposal of Hazardous Waste for disposal to an approved hazardous waste collection facility. Include the separation of waste that can be disposed of here in Kotzebue, AK i.e. latex paints. The City will supply two laborers and a piece of equipment to move drums or pallets of waste into containers for transport. Over Packs, Pallets, Cardboard Totes w/ liners, shoring materials, slings and shackles to complete this will be provided by The City of Kotzebue in order to assist in the disposal of Waste.
