ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCESDIVISION OF OIL AND GAS Notice of Application Received for Proposed Lease of State Lands Subject to Gas Storage in Kenai Loop Gas Field The State of Alaska, Department of Natural Resources, Division of Oil and Gas (DO&G), intends to evaluate a gas storage lease application submitted by ENSTAR Natural Gas Company, LLC in the Kenai Loop Gas Field. The proposed gas storage lease consists of state–owned unencumbered land within Tp. 6 N., R. 11 W., Sec. 32 – 34. Seward Meridian DO&G invites the public, agencies, and other interested parties to comment on the application that the state land in the Kenai Loop Gas Field may be available for gas storage leasing. To be considered, comments must be received by 5:00 pm on July 7, 2026. After evaluation of the comments received, the director shall issue a preliminary written determination of the state land that is subject to gas storage leasing in the Kenai Loop Gas Field as required by AS 38.05.180(u).
