
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS North Slope Borough Department of Health & Social Services Attn: Mariam Valenzuela, Project Administrator, Deputy Director H&SS Health Central Office Location: Wellness Center Building (Physical Address) 579 Kingosak Street Utqiagvik, AK 99723 907-852-0344 Ext. 4272 The North Slope Borough is seeking sealed bids for a Purchase Order contract with a qualified contractor for the project known as Senior Van Replacement; Project # 25-NPRA-10; for the communities of Utqiagvik, Wainwright, Anaktuvuk Pass, Atqasuk, and Nuiqsut. The North Slope Borough has identified the need for procurement and delivery of nine (9) Senior Van vehicles for the Department of Health & Social Services with specifications that will include: Arctic Winter Package, Handicap Doors, Wheelchair Lift, Auto Start, All Terrain Tires. The cost of the project is estimated at $568,769.00. Deadline for bid submittal is on or before April 10, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud in April 13, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Wellness Center conference room at 579 Kingoask Street, Utqiagvik, AK. Your submittal is to be sent to the attention of Mariam Valenzuela and the following must appear on the outside of your bid submission, project title / grant number, your vendor/firm's name, the words "Bid Enclosed", bid date and name of Project Administrator in accordance with the North Slope Borough Municipal Code § 2.36.080 (A). Bidders are responsible for the timely delivery of bids to Mariam Valenzuela, Project Administrator at the address listed above. Early submittals are encouraged. Bidders are responsible for advising their courier companies of the instruction above to avoid misplacement of their bid submission. Delays due to weather, airline schedules or other unknown variables will not be considered an exception to the deadline requirements. Bids are received when date stamped and time marked on your submission by the Project Administrator or designee. Please be advised that the United States Post Office does not make deliveries to physical addresses. If using USPS, items may be sent to our mailing address: PO Box 69, Utqiagvik, Alaska 99723, addressed to the North Slope Borough Department of Health & Social Services attention to the Project Administrator, with the sealed bid envelope inside of the mailing envelope. However, you are still responsible for ensuring your bid is timely received at the physical address. Bids received after the time announced for the bid closing, unless otherwise specified, will not be considered.
